So disappointing - Edit
I’ve been seeing posts about this pub all over social media, how it’s some revolutionary concept to have an all vegan pub, but I’ve been to all vegan pubs as long ad 10 years ago in London, maybe it was what I ordered but all the food was shop bought vegan meat, and it was terribly prepped, the juicy marble stake was cooked with no salt whatsoever so it tasted bland and the chips were soaked in oil, the peas were raw and the sausages were just quorn sausages, I can’t believe they charge £30 for a meal that has come from the tescos 3 for 2 clubcard deal

A vegan dream - Edit
Went here for my birthday and it was everything I had hoped for and more!! I had the banana blossom fish and chips and my boyfriend had the ribs, this was part of their spring menu. I will be going back to try their summer menu. Thank you for making my vegan dreams come true 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Amazing fully vegan menu! - Edit
Having read about The Queen Inn, we just had to drop in for lunch once we were finally in the area. And it didn't disappoint. The menu is amazing, it has so many attractive dishes on it!
Read moreMy wife said of her dish "The best I ever had!", and not only was my dish very tasty, but it was huge! (I was given the reminder, wrapped in foil, when we left.)
I wish we didn't live hundreds of miles away, across the North Sea.
Pros: Lots of choice, all vegan!, Both of our dishes very tasty!, Great value for money

Well worth the trip!! - Edit
Finally got to The Queen Inn and it was AMAZING! Lovely like-minded people and relaxed atmosphere. Really positive vibes! We took a non vegan friend who absolutely loved the food! Large easy car park. Beautiful valleys surrounding the pub with a few medium- to challenging hikes. The ducks that live there were a hoot too!

I really wanted to visit while we were in wales because I love wings and rib alternatives, as an ex addict 😂 I ordered a few small plates and my favourite one was the crispy chilli beef. It was so moreish. I wanted to order another portion.
Read moreI also got the battered tofu, wings, ribs, bhajis and battered banana blossom, it was all so good!!
We sat outside which was lovely as you could hear the river. It was great for the dogs.
We also got the cheesecake for pudding and it was lush. We visited on a Tuesday lunch and there were a few people there so I hope it stays busy and open so we can come back!

The Queen - Edit
We came down from Wolverhampton to try The Queen (and for a bit of walking) and it was terrific! Really great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly welcoming team. I especially love that it's a traditional pub and so dog friendly (we have a 7 month old puppy who isn't quite pub trained so it was a relief to be in a place that wasn't bothered by his occasional shouting!)
Read moreRecommend to all vegans and anyone who isn't but up for trying plant based.
We will be back soon.

Fantastic vegan eats - Edit
We’ve been waiting to come here for so long and they didn’t disappoint. We ordered the kebab which came with a delicious slaw and minty yoghurt sauce, the BBQ ribs, chicken wings and corn ribs which came with macaroni cheese. As well as tofu balls and chips on the side. The food was absolutely delicious. The stuff was so friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this to anyone and can’t wait to visit again.

Absolutely insane! Love it! - Edit
What a gem! The Queen Inn food is so delicious, well prepared, dishes so perfectly planned, varied menu, a vegan oasis. There’s nothing not-worthy to try. In our trip to Bristol we assured to visit this pub twice and absolutely no regrets. If we could stay longer in the area, would surely come again.

A Vegan Pilgrimage - Edit
After years of following The Queen Inn we made the trip, and it did not disappoint! Amazing food, drinks, and hospitality. We upgraded The Queen sharer to a lions mane steak, which was an absolute highlight! Followed by the best biscoff cheesecake. Afterwards we had delightful conversations with the incredible owners, and tried every amazing selection on offer of the vegan cream liqueur. Will be visiting again, thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Solo diner - amazing experience! - Edit
I booked same day to take myself out & couldn't have been happier. Lots of choice & you're given help by very friendly & attentive staff & info to help you select ☺️ I went for the small plates so I could try loads of things which was perfect - I loved the sticky b**f. And I stayed in the carpark in my campervan - which was so lovely & accomodating. Definitely will be back!

Valentines Roast - Edit
Visited here for the first time in February for roast dinner.
Read moreI decided on the garlic & rosemary lamb seitan and my partner chose the chicken stuffed with bacon and sausage meat.
I wish I had his meal. The lamb was very peppery and I couldn't taste the garlic or rosemary, but my partners chicken was amazing.
The veg was very well cooked too. I had cauliflower on mine but my partner didn't have any. This wasn't at all an issue as there was so much food that neither left hungry.
We found room for dessert. The jaffa cake fudge cake was deliciously orangey, and the giant cookie was perfectly chewy and warm.
I look forward to returning and trying their ever changing weekday menu.
Pros: Huge choice
Cons: Not all desserts available, A bit pricey

The pub food I came for - Edit
How many proper British pubs with a fully vegan menu do you know? There aren't that many, and I'd been following this one on their social media for over a year before I finally managed to visit (all the way from Scotland by public transport!).
Read moreExpect solid pub fare, and just that - the food is not gonna win a Michelin star, but is hearty, and the portions are big. I came specially for the Juicy Marbles fillet because I finally wanted to taste it. Good choice, but I honestly expected the fillet to be slightly bigger.
The cheesecake was so-so, not the best I've had in my life, and I have a question: why serve it with liquid cream instead of whipped cream?? I was a bit perplexed as I automatically expected whipped cream. What was I supposed to do with a liquid - pour it over...? Slightly confused there.
I'll be back if passing through South Wales again, but I will probably not travel again just for this pub alone.
Oh, and the staff are very nice and attentive, and the playlist was one of the best I've heard in a vegan restaurant!

Amazing Sunday roast - Edit
Fantastic fully vegan menu. We visited on a Sunday and had a choice of around 8 mains (I think 5 of them were traditional Sunday roast choices with all the trimmings) and about 5 starters.
Read moreBest vegan Sunday roast I’ve ever had in a restaurant. There were loads of choices for dessert too and I almost had choice paralysis at that stage! I eventually settled on the apple crumble stuffed cookie with custard - which I’m told was a new addition. Husband had the chocolate ch**escake with ice cream.
Wait staff were great, super friendly and attentive.
Can’t wait to go again and was totally worth the 200 mile round trip! Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
